Abstract

Legal services in the world are changing forced by a crisis in the sector that has clear roots in the characteristics of the digital age, which have been accentuated by the pandemic. For professionals and legal firms, it's about to adapt or die. The adapting process includes the recognition of some critical factors that will help tailor services to the needs and particularities of today's customer. Making the processes simpler and more accessible, as well as timely and lower cost, optimizing quality is the north. Therefore, it is necessary to incorporate technologies of all kinds, from those related to communication as well as those for the processing of legal work. Professionals and firms must change their approach towards a more modern perspective. For this reason, they need not only to become familiar with, but to promote the use of legaltech and other platforms to massify services, reducing costs and making the profession more profitable in these times. Also, it is necessary to differentiate their private and business services, through specialization in a certain branch, raising the proportion of value under assertive trust schemes between the service provider and the client.
